All My Captured Journey jewelry can be cleaned with a soft cloth. We do not recommend using jewelry cleaners as some are chemically based and can harm jewelry.

Necklaces & Metal Bracelets:
About 99% of our jewelry is now made of Surgical Grade Stainless steel. This material is ultra durable, scratch resistant, hypoallergenic and has superior rust and tarnish resistance. Items that are Rose Gold or Gold are created using an electo-finishing system. We use real 16K Rose Gold and 18K Gold finishes, 3 Microns thick (compared to most companies using 1 Micron). This process ensures durability and longevity of out jewelry pieces.
We recommend removing jewelry before showering, swimming, and exercising, although light exposure to these things will not ruin your piece. NEVER allow your items to come into contact with Chlorine or Salt water.
Sand Cutout Necklaces & Bracelets (Sand is sealed):
These items are made of Surgical Grade Stainless steel. This material is ultra durable, scratch resistant, hypoallergenic and has superior rust and tarnish resistance. The sand is completely sealed in these pieces, it is waterproof and UV proof, so it will not wash out or soften.
We still recommend removing these pieces before showering, swimming, and exercising, although light exposure to these things will not ruin your jewelry. NEVER allow these items to come into contact with Chlorine or Salt water.

The inside of these pieces are hollow so they should never be submerged in water and should always be removed before showering, swimming, exercising and should not be exposed to high temperatures (above 75 degrees).
If the inside of your item shows moisture, simply place the item in a dry, sunny area for about an hour to dry it out.

The wraps are made of genuine leather that is color treated. Over time leather stretches slightly, this is normal. Over time leather can crack with wear, replacements are available in our store.

Hardwood items:
These items are made of Solid hardwoods (Cherry, Maple or Black Walnut). We seal all items with a "Cutting board" mineral oil. This generally lasts quite a long time. This will help with keeping the item free of other dirt and oils. You can reapply at any time if you feel it is necessary.
